(Raw, Facts and Figures.) • Information Organized Data that has meaning and value. • Knowledge The concept of understanding information based on recognized patterns in a way that provide insight to information. In computing, data is information that has been translated into a form that is efficient for movement or processing. Data can exist in a variety of forms as numbers or text on pieces of paper, as bits and bytes stored in electronic memory, or as facts stored in a person's mind.

  5. ANALYTICS Analytics is the discovery, interpretation, and communication of meaningful patterns in data and applying those patterns towards effective decision making Analytics is an encompassing and multidimensional field that uses mathematics, statistics, predictive modeling and machine learning techniques to find meaningful patterns and knowledge in recorded data.

  14. REQUIREMENT FOR DATA ANALYSTS Data analysis jobs are everywhere and they are bound to increase! Here are some facts and figures to highlight this: “2.5 billion gigabytes (GB) of data was generated every day in 2012. (IBM) International Business Machines” Going by the statistics, by 2022, about 1.7 megabytes of new information will be created every second for every human! Well, that’s huge. Very huge.
