  • Create a video using light scenarios with contrasting music.
  • Scenes used:
    • Dark scene with Light music
    • Light scene with Dark music
    • Neutral (control)
    • Dark scene with Dark music
    • Light scene with Light music

  • Why is it important for lighting and sound to be balanced?
    • Properly balanced light and sound in one’s scene establishes the mood and the emotions that effects the audience
    • Contrasting light and sound could project mixed moods and emotions to the audience that could have the potential of being interoperated as mixed signals.

  • If a piece is balanced or unbalanced what kind of aesthetic could it emote?
    • If the piece is balanced, the message to the audience is clear, easily understood and interpreted.
    • If the piece is unbalanced, the message to the audience is unclear. Leaving the audience to anticipate change of the scene and transition into a more balanced scene.

  • Which is more favorable to the viewers, a scene with balanced or unbalanced lighting and sound?
    • Balanced scenes are more favorable to viewers when compared to unbalanced scenes.
    • Unbalanced scenes leave the audience feeling not at ease and anticipating an unknown change.
