This supplemental figure illustrates the relationship between AKAP12 protein expression and promoter methylation status in glioma cell lines. Immunocytochemistry of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded glioma cell lines shows that those with high AKAP12α promoter methylation exhibit lower AKAP12 protein expression levels, while those with low methylation show higher expression. For example, the LN-18 cell line represents high methylation with low expression, while the U87MG cell line is an example of low methylation with high expression.

Supplemental Figure 7. AKAP12 protein expression correlates with the AKAP12 promoter methylation status in glioma cell lines. AKAP12 immunocytochemistry of FFPE glioma cell lines is depicted. Glioma cell lines with high AKAP12α promoter methylation levels (LN-18 is shown as an example of this group) present with marked lower AKAP12 protein expression levels as compared to a strong AKAP12 protein expression seen in glioma cells with considerably lower AKAP12α promoter methylation status (U87MG is shown as an example of this group).
