  1. GRE or GMAT, what to choose? While submitting your application for a school you need to also provide your GMAT or GRE score. Though most business schools accept both the tests, you need to ensure that about the school you wish to take admission in. There are many courses such as magoosh GMAT prep courses and the magoosh online GRE prep that can help you score well in these tests.   2. GMAT The computer-adaptive GMAT test is accepted at almost all B-Schools. The 30-minute test consists of- analytical writing assessment, integrated writing, quantitative reasoning which tests your data sufficiency and problem-solving skills and finally reading comprehension, reasoning, and sentence editing to check your Verbal Skills. In all the test is 3.5 hours long, and the scores can range from 200 to hundred and are valid for 5 years. GRE You need to clear the GRE test for most graduate schools, and there are many B-Schools which now ask for your GRE test scores too. The 3.75 hour long test includes two essays under analytical writing, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning too. The scores can range from 130 to 170.

GMAT is required to seek admission to almost all B- Schools. Generally, the cost of taking a GMAT test is around $250 which is more expensive than the GRE which costs around $205. The change in admission trends clearly shows that B-schools are not just looking for students with one business background. This clearly indicates that GMAT is not the only important test to be cleared these days. Both the test,however, are different in nature and so the ETS and GMAC departments make use of comparisons tools that helps then in putting the scores of the students into perspective.
