This presentation outlines the current status of the LHCb software as of October 2009, focusing on critical preparations for data taking and simulation processes. Key areas include updating the track relation for improved accuracy, aligning C-frames, and calibrating module T0. Additionally, strategies for handling noisy and dead channels are discussed, including marking hits from problematic channels and refining algorithms for data reconstruction. Overall, the software is in good condition, with final calibrations and alignments in progress, ensuring readiness for upcoming data collection.

Outline • Preparation for Data • Simulation and reconstruction
Preparation for Data • We need to update TR-relation to more realistic one (from cosmic data we know that TR-relation from beam test work quite well) drift time VS distance and TR-relation
Preparation for Data • Upload first alignment of C-frames Misalignment of frames Residuals (biased) σ = 240 μ • Prepare algorithms for module T0 calibration and TR-relation calibration (algorithms are ready but need some tuning – more configuration options, xml-output)
Simulation and reconstruction • How to deal with noisy and dead channels? • need to add flag to mark hit if it goes from noisy channel • remove them in reconstruction (prepare algorithms to read xml-description of noisy and dead channels) • Study of the delta rays is ongoing • compare cluster size for cosmic data and MC with and without delta rays
Summary • OT software is in good condition • Final preparation for data taking (calibration algorithms, upload first alignment and realistic TR-relation)
