Practical difficulties in self preparing • “When you want to go far, go with a team, when you want to go fast, go alone” is the concept used by many when one faces the heat of competition. • When preparing for the TNPSC exam on your own you will face some difficulties. These difficulties are stated below and if you are suffering from any of those, we have provided some solution in the latter part of this article.

  3. Hurdles • One cannot feel the competition unless they are in the competitive ambience. One will be motivated when they are consistently upgrading themselves in the beat and the heat of the competition • We always tend to see our success as huge and blaming others for the failure. This can happen in self preparing where we overrate ourself and forget to realize the real scenario and our position here. Error in self evaluating

Contd.. • Due to improper guidance, you might be wasting time in unproductive chapters and leaving out he important chapters • Choosing to attempt for the exam, which is suitable for us is also unclear. Without knowing the both sides of the job, we choose, it may be due to misperception or misguidance. • We find it difficult to follow the preparation process continually in self preparing, which is the key factor for success. Constant preparation and motivation helps in cracking the examination

Solutions • Use of bilingual course materials for the better understanding of the concepts • To get counseling about all the available opportunities and analyzing the jobs which suits us best • Getting the updated and relevant course material • From the collection of previous question papers, knowing the weightage given for each of the chapters • Taking up the regular free online courses and self evaluating in a periodic state of levels.

Contd.. • Getting to know about the current updates for the current affairs section of the examination and to confidently present themselves in the Group Discussion. • To come out with flying colors in group discussion and the personal interview, we have to read the news from state level to world level. Analyze the problem and present your own opinion on that issue. Be the one who is a opinion makers and not the opinion followers
