  1. What happens after the IAS mock interview? The Civil Service exam is commonly referred to as the IAS exam, there are three stages of this exam: preliminary, mains and interview. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Civil Service exam interview is conducted at the Union Public Service Commission office in New Delhi. The Interview or the personality test is the final stage of the UPSC exam. Candidates should practice a lot of IAS mock interviews before the actual IAS interview. After clearing the prelims and mains, candidates are called for a personality test. This would be a crucial day for the candidates who are facing the UPSC board members for the first time. Candidates will need these necessary documents for an IAS interview. • Original certificate of matriculation • Original Self-attested photocopy of matriculation • Original degree certificates, if your original degree certificates have not been issued then you can carry a provisional certificate or mark sheet • Self-attested photocopy of degree certificates • Two passport size photos • Printout of the e-summon letter • If the candidate belongs to SC or ST category then you will need certificates in support of age relaxation • If candidate belongs to the PH category then they should carry a DWE certificate Candidates have to undergo a medical test process which is an essential process of the IAS exam. After the IAS interview candidates are supposed to appear for their medical test. The commission will allow each candidate’s date and hospital and they have to go to that hospital for their medical examination on that specified date. Medical tests are one of the most important aspects of the allocation of civil service. Medical examination should be completed timely. Ambedkar hospital • Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital Some tips for candidates Candidates will be confident enough with the help of an IAS mock interview before appearing in the actual interview. They should not eat anything before 10 hours on the day of the medical examination. Carry on spectacles or hearing aids. Female pregnant candidates will be fit for all types of service except those which require physical training. Candidates should prepare themselves in advance before approaching the central standing medical board for medical examination. If you are opting for IPS then you should start Workout a few weeks before the medical examination. Candidates have to fill up the form giving some details before going to the medical board. These details include vaccinations or any surgery and health details of your family. LBSNAA IAS training Foundation training The results are declared within a week after the IAS interview by UPSC. After this, they receive the allocation letter and are given the training in Lal Bahadur Shastri National academy of Administration in Mussoorie for 15 weeks. These candidates are trained on the political-legal construction and socio-economic framework of the country. Phase 1 of professional training Professional training teaches the necessary job skills to the probationers. The time for this training is 26 weeks. This training aims to develop the professional skills of the candidates so that they can handle a lot of responsibilities of an officer. Key aspects of the training Trainee officers are taught administrative skills during district training which is the most important part of the process. They learn the functioning of the various features of the administration at the district level. Trainee officers are required to complete all the assignments based on field studies in the district. The time duration for this part of training is around a year. Phase 2 of professional training This part of training is a summarization of the full training process. Probationers integrate the technical part which they learn in the foundational and professional training along with the understanding and learning of their district training experience. The time duration is 6 weeks for this phase. After this training, trainees are allocated to their cadres. Aspirants may be allotted any cadre which they have indicated based on their merit rank if vacancies are enough.
