  1. What Employees Should Know About Work Restrictions After Workplace Injury?

  2. Following an accident that caused a worker to get injured, he or she may be eligible to file a worker’s compensation claim. The purpose of the claim is to help the injured individual with their medical costs, lost wages and to help them return to work. In the majority of cases where the injury caused some sort of a disability, the injured individual is unable to return to work immediately.

  3. Obeying The Doctor’s Orders Regardless of how you feel, if your doctor says that you have to return to work, you have to do it. It may be hard if you are still feeling tired and injured, but your physician would never allow you to return to work without being entirely sure that you can do it. In the majority of cases, you will be kept off work until you have reached your maximum medical improvement (MMI).

  4. Restrictions and Retraining If you have any working restrictions, but you are ordered to return to work, your employer should be based on the company’s policies, provide you with a fitting work position. If the employer is unable to do so, or if it is against the company’s policies, you should be provided with retraining.

  5. William J. Kropach Familiarize yourself with your employer’s return to work policy, and be sure to fully understand your rights and what is asked of you. Your employer should do everything they can to make your transition smooth and problem free. If you encounter any problems, consult with a Los Angeles workplace injury lawyer William J.
