For checking the IP address, you need to connect your PC or laptop with your network. Then, you need to open the internet explorer and press window icon+R from your keyboard and press enter key. In the pop-up window, you need to type cmd to give the command. Then, you need to type ipconfig. You will be directed to the IP address page. Now, check the default Ip address of the default gateway under the wireless LAN adaptor. Step 2: Configuring the second router Now, you need to check the IP address of the second router and open the configuration settings. Generally, the IP address, username, and passwords are mentioned on the backside of the router. You can reset your second router. To reset the second router, you need to press and hold the small button from the backside of the router until the router restarts.

Please keep in mind that the IP class should be the same as your main router but the IP address number should be different. The last number of the IP address should be in between 2 to 254. To assign the IP address, you need to enter the username and password of the router and then open the router’s configuration. Then you will be navigated to the LAN settings. Step 4: DHCP Settings The next thing you need to do is the DHCP settings. since the DHCP settings are enabled on the main router so you need to disable them on the second router. To do this, you need to click on the DHCP mode or you can select none in this case. Step 5: Connection of the two routers Now, grab a network cable and connect the main router to the secondary router. You need to insert both the ends of the cable in the LAN port.
