  2. WHYISSTRETCHINGIMPORTANT? Manycommonachesandpainsstemfromtightmusclesandpoormovement.Thekeytogoodhealthis tokeepyourbodyflexible.Thishelpsyourcirculatory,respiratory,lymphatic,andmusculoskeletal systems. Additionally,stretchingisnecessaryfordedicatedathletes,weekendwarriors,oranyonelookingto improvetheirphysicalperformance.Afteraworkoutyoumaynotfeeltheneedtostretchifyourmuscles aren’tachingorsore. However,thereareseveralpotentialeffectsofnottakingthetimetostretchcorrectlyafterexercise.You mightexperiencestiffnessifyou’renotstretchingadequately.Musclesandtendonsthataren’tstretched properlyafterexercisemaybemoresusceptibletoinjury.Herearethreereasonsnottoskipthiscritical partofyourworkout: REASON#1:MAINTAININGAHEALTHY HEARTRATE Oneofthegreatbenefitsofmoderateexerciseisitsabilitytoelevateyourheartrateforsustained periods.Thiscontrolledstresshelpstostrengthentheheartmuscle,boostyourcirculation,anddeliver extraoxygentoyourmuscles.
