  2. What is WCAG 2.0 Compliance? WCAG 2.0 Compliance refers to adherence to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, which are a set of standards created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to ensure that web content is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. WCAG 2.0 focuses on making websites, apps, and other digital content usable for individuals with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. It is based on four key principles: Perceivable: Content must be presented in ways that all users can perceive (e.g., providing text alternatives for images). Operable: User interfaces and navigation must be accessible and usable (e.g., allowing keyboard-only navigation). Understandable: Content must be clear and easy to understand (e.g., using simple language and predictable navigation). Robust: Content should be compatible with a wide range of current and future assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers). WCAG 2.0 has three conformance levels: Level A (minimum), Level AA (mid-range, most widely adopted), Level AAA (maximum, rarely required). Compliance ensures equal access for people with disabilities, improves usability, and helps meet legal requirements in many countries. 1. 2. 3. 4.

  3. Why WCAG 2.0 Matters? Inclusivity: Ensures that websites are usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. 1 1 Legal Compliance: Many countries have laws that require WCAG 2.0 compliance (e.g., ADA, Section 508). 2 2 Better User Experience: Improves usability for all users, not just those with disabilities. 3 3 SEO Benefits: Accessible websites are better optimized for search engines. 4 4

  4. WCAG 2.0 Conformance Levels Level A (Minimum): Essential accessibility features are implemented. Level AA (Mid-range): Addresses most common accessibility barriers. Level AAA (Maximum): Highest level of accessibility, though not always practical for all websites.
