  1. Top Civilian Awards in India The civilian awards of India are a set of awards given by the government. There are three types of awards – Padma awards, Padma Bhushan Awards and Padma Shree Awards. The awards are given to eminent and distinguished personalities in the fields of art, social work, science and engineering, public affairs etc. Civilian Award is an award given to civilians for their contributions towards development activities.

Awards are tokens of appreciation and honour given to those who have made significant contributions to society. In India, there are many awards to choose from since people have been recognising their accomplishments in a wide range of professions.
