  2. Every business organisation, whether big or small, needs some basic policy framework for its human capital. Without this, organisation can not attract right talent and retain them for longer run. HR policies or HR manual has become an essential part of every business because today every employee is concerned with his rights, duties and other terms of conditions including any expectations of company from him and it is not possible to place all these terms in the appointment letter therefore every company needs formal policy framework to give answers to different queries of employees.

Objective: The purpose of creating hr manual is to reconcile interest and direct actions towards common goal by prescribing certain policies and avoiding chaos and bring clarity and consistency in action. HR policies or HR manual provides for process towards promotions, review and appraisals, benefits, incentives, terminations etc. HR Manual is a basically a compilation of all policies at one place.

  4. Advantages: Without proper attendance policy, company may face problem of indiscipline and punctuality. Clearly defined leave policy gives employee comfort while going on leave. Having a right conveyance policy, will not hesitate employee in incurring expenses for company business because they know that they can claim expenses later on or even take advance for bigger expenses. Compensation policy will give them sense of surety and security about the package and inclusions. Similarly sexual harassment policy will have deterrent effect on the employee and create a healthy working environment and further create an impression among employees
