Neomycin, Polymyxin, and Hydrocortisone otic solution are used as antibiotics to treat upper ear infection which is caused by bacteria it is also known as swimmer's ear. It helps in reducing ear swelling, redness, unusual tiredness or weakness, trouble breathing, and itching.

  2. Why is this medication prescribed? Neomycin, Polymyxin, and Hydrocortisone otic solution are used as antibiotics to treat upper ear infection which is caused by bacteria it is also known as swimmer's ear. It helps in reducing ear swelling, redness, unusual tiredness or weakness, trouble breathing, and itching.

  3. How should this medicine be used? This medication comes in a liquid form and is used 3-4 times a day for 10 days, make sure your ear is clean and dry before applying for the medicine and remember to use it around the same time every day

Follow these steps to use the eardrops: • Warm the solution • Shake the bottle well • Clean and dry the affected ear canal. • Lie down and make sure the affected ear is upward. • put the drops into your ear, as prescribed by the doctor • Remain lying down for 5 minutes with the affected ear upward.

  5. Side effects of Neomycin Polymyxin and Hydrocortisone otic Some common side effects- • burning or stinging of your ear after instilling the medication. • skin thinning. • small white or red bumps on the skin. • acne. • unwanted hair growth. • skin color changes.

Side effects of Neomycin Polymyxin and Hydrocortisone otic Some serious side effects- • skin redness, swelling, or itching (especially on the face/tongue/throat). • Dryness or scaling on your skin. • You’ll feel decreased urination. • You’ll feel hearing loss, which may be permanent. • You’ll feel swelling of the legs, ankles, or feet. • You’ll feel unusual tiredness or weakness • You’ll feel trouble breathing.

  8. What other information should I know? Don’t miss out on any of your appointment with your doctor. If your condition is not improving and getting worst, consult your doctor immediately, your dose may need to be adjusted again.
