If you're concerned that you might be experiencing late ovulation, here are some tips on how to avoid late ovulation conception during pregnancy. Avoiding late ovulation conception during your pregnancy is essential for both you and your child. Late ovulation conception is when you conceive after your ovary has released its eggs but before they have fertilized an egg. This can be due to a number of factors, including stress, weight gain, incorrect diet, or unequal sex hormones balance. Research has also shown that babies born to mothers who conceive late are more likely to have health problems such as asthma and ADHD. To prevent late ovulation conception during your pregnancy, make sure to maintain a healthy lifestyle and avoid any of the abovementioned factors that may lead to a delayed ovulation. What is late ovulation late ovulation occurs when a person ovulate close to the onset of their next menstrual period. Late or delayed ovulation occurs after 21 days of the menstrual cycle , the average cycle is about 28 days long means ovulation occurs around day 14 of your cycle , people with more prolonged or irregular cycles tend to ovulate later or they may not ovulate every cycle. Causes of late ovulation The menstrual cycle has three phases ▪ The follicular phase where ovarian follicles develops and the eggs mature in anticipation of it’s release ▪ Ovulation ▪ The luteal phase , where follicle closes and hormones are released which trigger shedding of the uterine lining unless pregnancy is occurred Luteal phase remains constant the late ovulation or even absent , may be caused due to the prolonged follicular phase. Moreover late ovulation is caused by hormonal imbalances, which may be temporary or long term depending upon the cause. Some reasons for this is: Stress
