1. The Urban Cruiser is a Compact SUV of Toyota. The Urban Cruiser looks more like a Toyota car with some design elements inspired from the likes of the Fortuner and Land Cruiser SUVs. There is a better sense of the Urban Cruiser's looks as well now. The SUV gets a new grille similar to what is seen on the Fortuner with the twin horizontal slats and the vertical elements finished in silver. It is one of the more refined and powerful motors in the segment though not as responsive as you'll like it to be owing to the rpm mark at which the peak torque kicks in. Now a lot has been spoken about the 4-speed torque convertor automatic transmission and how it appears to be sluggish in many situations. Let's just say if you're buying the car to primarily use it in slow moving city traffic, it will do the job well.

2. Urban Cruiser’s automatic version gets a mild-hybrid system, which enhances fuel economy. With an official figure of 18.76km/l, it is the most efficient petrol (automatic) in its class. Thanks to the rugged nature of the car, the suspension handles bad roads very well and feels more stable than some of the other compact SUVs. The steering wheel is also responsive and light to use.
