  2. LAPAROSCOPIC TREATMENT Laparoscopic treatment for kidney cancer is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove either the entire kidney (radical nephrectomy) or part of the kidney (partial nephrectomy) in cases of kidney cancer.

  3. TWO MAIN TYPES OF LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY FOR KIDNEY CANCER: Radical nephrectomy: This removes the entire kidney, surrounding fatty tissue, and lymph nodes Partial nephrectomy: This removes only the tumor and a small margin of healthy tissue, preserving as much of your kidney function as possible.

  4. ADVANTAGES OF LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY FOR KIDNEY CANCER Less pain: Laparoscopic surgery results in less pain than traditional open surgery because the incisions are smaller. Faster recovery: Patients who undergo laparoscopic surgery can return to their normal activities sooner than those who have open surgery. Reduced blood loss: Laparoscopic surgery typically results in less blood loss than open surgery. Improved cosmesis: The small incisions from laparoscopic surgery result in less noticeable scars.

  5. WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY? Laparoscopy isn't suitable for every case. Ideal candidates typically have: Small tumors (usually less than 4 cm) No signs of cancer spread Relatively good overall health

  6. RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS OF LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY FOR KIDNEY CANCER As with any surgery, there are some risks and complications associated with laparoscopic surgery for kidney cancer. These include: Bleeding Infection Injury to nearby organs Recurrence of cancer
