  1. Certain Styles Remain Popular After Many Others Are No Longer Fashionable Most people – both men and women – enjoy looking good, looking as if they dress with care, no matter the style they follow or prefer. Fortunately, there are so many styles, fabrics and designs to choose from that everybody’s choices are catered for. This includes, too, the designers and/or manufacturers one prefers over another. For many, the designer or brand is of lesser importance, as long as they can choose an item, a garment or an outfit they like. Others, of course, are very aware of the brand’s profile, indeed. It does not matter. Fashionistas and other dressers are given enough opportunity to look good, smart, stylish, ‘with it’ or traditional. It remains a personal choice and preference. Being fashionable is nothing new, not in Western societies, and not in Asia either. This generation’s grandmothers and their husbands that enjoyed the fashions of their day used to wear mainly sombre colours, clothing that covered most of their bodies, yet discernable from what workers and peasants would. In more recent decades fashions changed and became more daring when the first bikini was introduced in 1946, followed later by the mini dresses of the 1960s and later as made popular by models such as Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy who were the true fashion icons of earlier decades. The ’80sand ’90s – even later on still – saw the emergence of the supermodel, all representative of a certain style of fashion. Such milestones were a huge injection for the fashion industry, so much so that billions of pounds and dollars are spent every year in the industry. Today’s men and women – young and old – enjoy, in addition to the traditional, also new styles and a look that belongs at the start of the new millennium. These days people may enjoy a more relaxed style and look, less formal than in previous decades, but not any less classy and expecting of great quality. Some still prefer the older, more traditional look, but many others follow keenly what current trends dictate and expect. Therefore, no matter the suits, the trousers, shirts, hats and other complementary accessories one wears, quality is not sacrificed. Your very old grandmother may think ripped jeans are cheap, but those who follow the world of fashion and clothing, understand that it is another style, one that has been popular for a few decades now, and designed and manufactured by leading brands worldwide. Some styles never disappear, it seems. In the UK, for example, the Peaky Blinder suits and style are still popular among certain groups, and as fashionable as ever. So named after the Birmingham, England based street gang that was well-known at the end of the 19th century into the early 1900s. Their clothes were easily discerned for the suits they used to wear, the tailored jackets, button waistcoats, overcoats, leather boots and shoes and the well-known peaky, flat caps.

  2. This is a fashion that has endured and is often seen in the movies, in public, at parties and anywhere that a follower of this fashion wants to wear it. It is recognizable, it remains popular. Most Peaky Blinder suits are manufactured from tweed – either Herringbone or Donegal. These are often designed as 3-piece suits in a retro look, or retro classic for the smarter options. Of course, the Peaky Blinder is one example of an enduring fashion style; there are many others too. The individual chooses what they like best and want to buy. Fortunately, there are options when you start looking for good stores, in London, in Birmingham, Manchester or New York. Stores have choices, so have leading websites, whether you are a man looking for a tweed suit, or a woman looking for a great coat. Good stores offer choices and variety.
