Follow these simple steps to make your reservation changes: • Open the United airlines official site. • Choose the "My Reservation" option • Fill in your required credentials like name, credit card number, etc. • Log into your previous reservation page • Choose the standby option if you want to reschedule your flight within the next 3 hours • Choose the "Earlier flight" option. • Pay the change fee and fare difference if applicable. • Complete your check-out.

According to their 1st January 2021 report, you can now change your mileage plus ticket to a different flight on the same day. The flight has to depart within 24 hours of your original flight. Premium platinum, MileagePlus premier gold, premier 1K tickets can also avail of the above-said benefit.
