  1. DISTRIBUTED TEAMS & THEIR IMPACT ON SCRUM PROJECT

"face to face conversations with the development team is an adequate way of communicating the information" is the main principle of Agile methodology. • Scrum suggests co-located teams with changing business and globalization are becoming difficult and are being replaced with distributed teams. • The possibilities of distributing teams bring Global reach and distributed costs which also lead to understanding the market better, and global acquisitions of other small businesses to assist the main organization. • Working with distributed teams has become an important part of a Scrum Master role but communication is the primary challenge faced by distributed teams.

Each team needs a different approach to communication it solves a lot of trouble if everyone in the team understands one language • There are different time zones, working hours, scheduling deliveries, etc. These all can be managed with proper communication to the team that all of them are working towards a common goal. • Sprint planning meeting requires proper communication among the team to agree on how to proceed with the client’s requirements. • Daily Scrum meetings need to happen at respective locations, the Scrum Master has to consolidate the data of different teams and find how the efficiency can be competitively maintained.

  4. If teams are working efficiently, end sprint reviews will help efficiently consolidate the reports. Better coexistence among the teams leads to faster delivery of end product • Training plays an important role in setting individual teams into Scrum teams • Collaboration among teams is the primary criterion to start the project. • Self-organized teams are better at delivering products than teams trying to outshine each other. • All these points lead to a better-distributed team for global reach and faster end delivery while adhering to the Scrum framework.
