  1. Out with the old, in with the new Furniture has always been an important part of our life, yet we pay little attention to it until a problem arises. Everyone hates a wobbly cupboard or a side table that targets your little toe finger the moment you get out of bed. Mostly this is due to questionable design choices or just plain negligence. I remember my old bed, which had an oddly shaped leg board at the bottom. It was made for crushing toes and that’s not an overstatement of facts. Everyone has dealt with problems like these in the past. But with this new wave of minimalistic living, things have been looking good (literally), too much design in a room can make it feel suffocating, that’s not cool when you’d be spending most of your day there. An ideal bedroom would make you feel relaxed, with furniture that doesn’t feel like it’s from the Victorian era or at least not that old design-wise.

  2. They didn't have to add those toe crushers! In my opinion, furniture that makes you forget it’s there is a clever solution to small living spaces. Yet these so called “clever” solutions are seldom clever and often leave the 'economic' factor somewhere in the dirt, right along that wobbly atrocity you call a cupboard. But you know, someone always steps up the game and helps us common folk. It’s not always in the best of ways or in a direct manner but you gotta lookout for the silver lining, wherever you can. These contemporary designs or the so called modern pieces are way out of budget for most people and you would rather say good bye to that little toe finger (that helps you stay balanced) than be financially unstable, and that’s totally

  3. acceptable. But you don’t have to deal with that kind of pressure (your pinky toe does). Haha, that was the last one. Don’t buy it! Moving to a new city can be brutal the first few weeks, there’s no familiarity and everything is expensive. Until you get the hang of it, you might as well burn your budget plans. That costs more than my fridge Instead of buying new furniture, most of us (guys) prefer to sleep on the floor with just a mattress and maybe an unfortunate book that acts as a substitute for where you would expect to have a side table. It’s not a pleasant view but it’s functional.

  4. These days, you can rent furniture instead of buying. Although some people have doubts, it’s actually not a bad deal. It’ll give you some extra financial independence if you are just starting out in a new city. If you are moving to a new city for 1-2 years, renting is the best alternative. Be smart If you buy new furniture, it’ll cost you upwards of 20k. The number only goes up and with time your bought furniture is also depreciating in value. If you are buying all the furniture for you home, it’s more of an investment than just shopping. You have to be smart about what you buy and how it would all look together. It’s a process rather than a task. You can make renting work for you. Even if you rent everything, it’ll be cheaper than most sofas you can buy today. If you’re in a city for a few years, you can rent all the furniture and not worry about selling your belongings in a hurry. If you are renting a bed, or even a mattress, it’s going to cost you way less than the original amount and you don’t even have to worry about wear and tear. Second hand furniture is always an option but shoddy repairs and scams are quite prominent in that part of the market. And you won’t always get what you were looking for and end up compromising. It could be the design or the color but cutting corners like that would make anyone feel frustrated after a while. If you go on Google and type “furniture for rent near me” you’d find a plethora of options to choose from, not only different sites but also a lot of different designs and colors. You can rent a few things and see how it goes together. Most sites have pre made combos like sofa set and tables, etc. at a discounted rate. So, financially it’s even better for someone who is moving to a new city for a few years. All the designs are contemporary, because it’s an industry norm to keep things up to date.

  5. Things to look out for If you’re worried about the quality of rented products, don’t be. Due to competition (like in any other market) there are rigorous quality checks that ensure you never get faulty merchandise, as the company is liable for it and incurs losses if it doesn’t maintain a certain standard. You can practically rent anything you can think of, from renting office chairs to gaming consoles, few sites offer everything you could ask for and more. So, go on ahead and start renting smart.
