Lightning Protection Products for Power Systems

Dissipation Array System (DAS) uses a different, innovative method of operation. DAS uses u201ccharge transferu201d technology, which prevents the termination of lightning within the area of desired protection. For over 43 years, Lightning Eliminators (LEC) has successfully assisted companies across multiple industries and around the world in reducing risk, saving money and increasing reliability. 2. Lightning Protection Products  The modern industrial business landscape is one that relies heavily on technologically advanced, mission-specific equipment in order to perform critical tasks. These components are crucial to the processes of any number of industries and are also alarmingly sensitive and easily damaged. Though physical barriers against damaging natural elements are nearly always designed in for the systems before they ever are switched on, they can provide nearly no protection against violent electrical storms and lightning strikes, nor the resulting power surges which account for a large percentage of damage to critical components in the field.  Though Lightning protection technologies for power systems have been in use for over 100 years, Lightning Eliminators has developed new ways to mitigate the effects of lightning. https://www.lightningprotection.com/

  3. When utilities or power generation facilities experience adverse operational events and are subsequently knocked offline the cost can be devastating, resulting in the ultimate consequence of death, and/or substantial losses and liabilities which can have an impact on customers ranging from thousands of dollars to millions, depending on location and the customers who are impacted.  In order to do this properly, electric power companies should install good quality, certified lightning protection products and implement a full and extensive lightning risk mitigation plan. https://www.lightningprotection.com/

  4. Some of our innovative, patented lightning protection products are: DissipationArray System (DAS) uses a different, innovative method of operation. DAS uses “charge transfer” technology, which prevent the termination of lightning within the area of desired protection. The technology is so effective, the DAS has over a 99% success rate and is the only lightning protection product to offer a full no-strike warranty. The Spline Ball Terminal (SBT) replaces standard lightning rods in new or existing NFPA 780 or UL 96A installations. Like the SBI, the SBT reduces the risk of direct strikes in its primary mode and acts as a highly efficient air terminal in secondary mode. The Spline Ball Ionizer (SBI) is UL listed and used to supplement DAS, and/or for structures that require lightweight protection with a low wind profile. When used as primary protection the SBI acts as a hybrid ionizer/air terminal, preventing most strikes and collecting any it cannot prevent. https://www.lightningprotection.com/
