  3. About the poem: "A slumber did my spirit seal" is a poem written by william wordsworth in 1798 and published in 1800 edition of lyrical ballads.  It is usually included in Lucy poems although  the only poem not to mention the name Lucy. WWW.WEBSITE.COM

  5. POEM: A SLUMBER DID MY SPIRIT SEAL; I HAD NO HUMAN FEARS: SHE SEEMED A THING THAT COULD NOT FEEL THE TOUCH  THE TOUCH OF EARTHLY YEARS. NO MOTION HAS SHE NOW, NO FORCE ; SHE NEITHER HEARS NOR SEES; ROLLED ROUND IN EART'S DIURNAL COURSE, WITH ROCKS,AND STONES, AND TREES.

  7. BLUE MOUNTAIN DEATH AS A NATURAL PART OF LIFE: THE POEM DESCRIBES DEATH AS A GENTLE “SLUMBER” AND A PEACEFUL, INEVITABLE PROCESS THAT UNITES US WITH NATURE. THE CYCLE OF LIFE: THE POEM SUGGESTS THAT AFTER DEATH, A PERSON BECOMES PART OF NATURE AND CONTINUES TO EXIST IN HARMONY WITH THE EARTH. THE STRANGENESS OF DEATH: THE POEM MARVELS OVER THE STRANGENESS OF THE SPEAKER'S BELOVED'S DEATH. THE IDEA THAT MOST PEOPLE LIVE IN A DELUSIONAL “SLUMBER” THE POEM SUGGESTS THAT THE SPEAKER WAS IN A DEEP SLEEP AND DIDN'T REALIZE THE HARSH REALITY OF LIFE.

PERSONIFICATION – ‘THE TOUCH OF EARTHLY YEARS’ HERE THE ‘EARTHLY YEARS’ HAVE BEEN ATTRIBUTED WITH HUMAN QUALITIES. REPETITION – ‘NO’, ‘’AND’ – THESE TWO WORDS ARE REPEATED TWICE IN THE SAME LINE
