Babu Singh’s Thakur Pedha • When it comes to our Babusingh’s Thakur Pedha, we are extremely proud of it because it’s the legacy of Dharwad. We have been making mouth-watering, authentic, and traditional sweets since 1846, and we are committed to continuing this tradition. Our delectable sweet dish has maintained its flavour, texture, and sense of accomplishment ever since. • Babusingh’s Thakur Pedha’s legacy began in the village of Unnao, outside of Lucknow, and later migrated to Dharwad, Karnataka. Ramratansingh Thakur was the first generation confectioner to produce and sell the now-famous sweet locally, which was continued by Mohansingh Thakur from the second generation. The sweet began to gain recognition with the arrival of the third generation Babusingh Thakur. Since then, the demand for our homemade, handcrafted sweets has continued to grow. Ramratansingh Thakur from the 4th generation continued to grow the business. Now Durgasingh Thakur and Karansingh Thakur, members of the 5th and 6th generations, are currently continuing the legacy.
