She is known for her hard work as well as fearlessness as a police officer. In Miami, she was the first lady police officer after Janella Ruffner Spurlock, in last 30 years. Her hard work in the studies, training, etc. was evident with her selection in the Miami Police Department. She was inspired by her maternal family to become an officer in police. Teresa Lashmethas proved that if one is really determined to do something, s/he can do it, facing all the odds. The success is sure to come.
