  1. The Usability and Characteristics of Different Types of Generator BY : TEMPORARY POWER SOLUTIONS

  2. Introduction A generator is an electrical machine that converts mechanical power to electrical power. It works on Faraday's first electromagnetic induction law. Generators produce the electrical power required for automobiles, aircraft, ships, and trains, Homes, and industries

  3. Types of Generators • There are several types of generators that are used for power supply for domestic, large industries and commercial projects. One can buy generator according to their requirements. • For this purpose, there are a lot of power solution providers that provide different types of power services such as generator, UPS and Load banks, Lighting towers and Cables & distributions. There are many service provider who offer generator hire service a per your requirement.

  4. Main Parts of a generator: The generator is a compound structure of different parts. The main parts of an electric generator are Engine, Alternator, Fuel System, Voltage Regulator, Cooling System, Battery Charger, Control Panel and Main Assembly/ Frame.

  5. Diesel Generators A diesel generator comprises of a diesel engine which is used with an electric generator to generate electrical energy. A diesel engine is usually designed to run on diesel fuel. These generators are mostly used due to its durability, long life and lower maintenance.

  6. Inverter Generator An inverter generator is an engine to connect with an alternator to generate AC power. It also used to convert the AC power into DC power. It can fit into a car, RV or boat. The AC power can be set to any voltage and frequency when used with proper equipment.

  7. Natural Gas Generators Natural gas generators use propane or liquefied petroleum gas to generate power. It can be used to power both emergency and portable generators. It is considered as being one of the most affordable and effective fuels among non-renewable resources for power generation.

  8. Portable Generators These generators are used for temporary electrical power. A portable generator uses gas or diesel fuel to generate power. It can be used in remote sites. It is mostly used in refrigerators, spray gun systems and nail guns.

  9. Standby Generators A standby generator is a back up of the electrical system that operates with an automatic transfer switch that commands it to power a device up during a power failure. It operates automatically and can operate on liquid propane or natural gas. It is mostly used in emergency settings, hospital machineries, fire protection systems and elevators.
