  1. Imported Paper Industry in India According to report of Business Standard published on 7 May 2022, the paper consumption of India would be more than 30 million tonnes till Financial Year 2027. The paper industry is entirely based on converting of wood as raw material into paper. Different types of paper are being manufactured, i.e., Kraft paper, Paper Board, Pulp, Cellulose based goods etc. Population of India is more than 150 crores and they are extensively using paper for packaging, writing, printing and different other purposes. But, here comes a twist, as India is already a populated country, where the government is supposed to create balance between Population, ecological development in order to ensure sustainable development. In other words, Government of India is limiting in cutting down of trees, which are main source of manufacturing of paper considering the environmental condition. So, what other option left with people to procure paper for themselves, because the limited raw material would end up producing limited paper, which is insufficient for Indian population. Parallel to Indian paper industry, another industry of Imported paper also exists in India, which is rescuing entire nation from shortage of paper. More than 1000 organization operating in India are dealing into imported paper, which they procure from paper mills of USA and European countries. The foreign paper mills generally sell stocklot of paper to Indian dealers, which those dealers convert the stocklot paper into usable format. Indian dealers are importing different papers such Virgin Kraft Paper, SBS, Printed Kraft etc. Through imported papers, the imported paper dealers are protecting Indian environment against cutting of trees.
