Their solutions are used by both public and private sector organizations to ensure stakeholder safety through advanced technology. Challenges The client's product was built on outdated technologies like Paradox, Borland, Object PAL, and VB6.0.

  2. Technology and resource limitations made it difficult to release new features quickly, slowing down time-to-market. The software consisted of 45 modules and over 900,000 lines of code, primarily in Object PAL, with minimal documentation available. The platform needed modernization to overcome performance and usability challenges while maintaining its critical functionality. Solution Provided Synoverge stepped in as an Extended Engineering Team, using a phased and iterative approach to modernize the platform: Discovery & Reverse Engineering: Analyzed the existing architecture, understood deployment scenarios, and documented the product’s internal complexities. Redesign & Development: Re-architected the software using a modern Microsoft .NET technology stack. Developed a user-friendly interface with improved usability. Created a flexible architecture to allow customizations for field users. Data Migration & Testing: Migrated data from the legacy database to a re-engineered database. Ensured compatibility with Windows 8 and automated testing using the Coded UI Test Framework. Deployment & Transition: Piloted the redesigned software at client sites. Provided user training and transitioned to a support and maintenance model. Results Modernized software with a contemporary user interface, highly praised by end-users.
