  1. INTRODUCTION what is gaming console? A video game console is an electronic device that outputs a video signal or image to display a video game that can be played with a game controller. A gaming console is a form of interactive multimedia for entertainment. it is one of the best form of digital entertainment.

  4. ATARI PONG  first ever arcade game created in 1975, the first generation of video game console. it was simulated table tennis game. connected to a black and white TV. its technology based on the transistor-transistor-logic where several p-n-p transistors were connected in forward biased mode.

ATARI PONG 2600 the atari 2600 was secong generation gaming console by atari in 1977. first generation console has microprocessor in its circuitary , this second generation has graphics  chips in it. atari 2600 consist of a software which was encoded on ROM , housed in plastic cartridges. atari 2600 has 128 bytes of RAM.

NINTENDO  It was the third generation in gaming console which is introduced in 1985 by nintendo. nintendo used game pad controller instead of joystick,for the first time. cpu consist of a 8-bit microprocessor. 2 kb onboard work RAM. supports 5 audio channels , with volume control of 16 levels.

  7. SUPER NINTENDO fourth generation of gaming console launched by nintendo in 1991. it uses 16-bit processor. it uses parallel processing concept. it has DMA unit. hardware systems allowes to access memory without dependent on CPU.

  8. SEGA SATURN  it is fifth generation o? gaming consoles. it is also known as 32-bit era or 3D era. it introduces the concept of storing video games in double speed CD ROM. Cache memory introduced in video game console industry through sega saturn. it has two 256kb of RAM.

  9. SONY PLAYSATION the first ever gaming console developed by SONY in 1994. it has 2MB RAM. It has a separate graphics processing unit . it was the first console which had full motion videos. automatic detection & booting of games is stored in CD ROM. Separate memory card  for storing in game data.

DVD ROM'S seventh generation which was shift towards DVD ROM'S for game media. games were longer and more visually appealing. online multiplayer gaming was supported by network adapters which were provided by these consoles to connect to a broadband internet connection. playsation 2 compaitable with all play station games, controllers, memory cards,etc. it has 64 bit microprocessor with 32 mb RAm with an external 8MB memory card. seperate graphics and audio processing units with 4 MB and 2MB .

  11. MICROSOFT XBOX microsoft's first ever gaming console . CPU boasted of an intel pentium iii processor  64 mb of RAM. Hard drive consist of 8-10gb of space graphics unit built by NVIDIA..

  12. 7TH support of new disc format like blu-ray and HD DVD  motion  sensing technology and wireless controllers are introduced . wifi facility dolby digital sound. hard drive capacity of 250gb usb & bluetooth
