  1. Website speed

  2. What is Page Speed • Page speed is often confused with "site speed," which is actually the page speed for a sample of page views on a site. Page speed can be described in either "page load time" (the time it takes to fully display the content on a specific page) or "time to first byte" (how long it takes for your browser to receive the first byte of information from the web server).

  3. How to Test Page Load Speed with Google Webmaster Tools • Log in to Google Webmaster Tools (GWMT) • If you haven’t already a website then Verify your website in GWMT(Google Webmaster Tools) • Click on your site name to view the Site Dashboard

  4. Click Crawl from the left side Menu

  5. Click Fetch as Google

  6. Enter the page you wish to test and click the red Fetch button • To test your homepage, you can leave the text box empty

  7. Let the Fetch as Google churn and the URL will update from Pending to Complete

  8. Crawl Complete • Pending

  9. Click on the Complete status to view the details of the crawl • View the Download Time field (at the bottom of the page) for your page load speed, in seconds, according to the Google crawler

  10. Thank you
