Admissions is centrally conducted by the Govt. of Delhi # This Doesn’t apply to minority schools, boarding schools and schools on their own land

Age Criteria for Delhi Nursery Admissions Nursery / Pre-School Pre-Primary / KG / Prep Class 1 More than 3 years and Less than 4 Years as on 31st March 2022 More than 4 years and Less than 5 Years as on 31st March 2022 More than 5 years and Less than 6 Years as on 31st March 2022 Child born from 31st March 2018 to 31st March 2019 is eligible for Nursery / Pre-School Child born from 31st March 2017 to 31st March 2018 is eligible for Pre-Primary / KG / Prep Child born from 31st March 2016 to 31st March 2017 is eligible for Class 1st *The age relaxation of up to 30 days may be granted at the level of heads of schools in the maximum and minimum age limit for classes Nursery & KG/Class-I

Points Criteria for Delhi Nursery Admissions Nursery admission process in Delhi schools is based on a points system. Schools usually assign points to criteria like — neighbourhood (distance from school), sibling in the same school, parents as alumni, first child etc. Every school in Delhi defines their point criteria on various parameters and submits the same to the DoE. How do points calculated? Example: Imagine a parent has 2 kids and the 1st kid is studying in class 2 of school A and the parent’s residence is 2 kilometers from school A This parent when applies for the Nursery admission for the 2nd kid in school A will qualify to get the points on the following criteria’s: Points for residence within 2 kilometers distance from the school Points for the sibling (elder kid) studying in the same school
