Liverpoolu2019s kids golf club has a very proud history of producing high calibre senior players from its junior ranks. Current USPGA tour member Matt Jones started his career as a junior member at Liverpool, as was former NSW state captain Tristan Lambert along with state player Brad McIntosh.   2. Golf Lessons Sydney • Liverpool Golf Club provides kid’s golfing lessons for the Fairfield, Bankstown, Liverpool and Greater West area. Liverpool’s kids golf club has a very proud history of producing high calibre senior players from its junior ranks. • Current USPGA tour member Matt Jones started his career as a junior member at Liverpool, as was former NSW state captain Tristan Lambert along with state player Brad McIntosh. Our Goal • Our goal is to develop the Liverpool Junior Golf Academy into a Junior Golf Centre of Excellence for Sydney’s Greater West. • Our Golf Lessons Program • The success of our kid’s golf lessons and program has been achieved through collaboration with the U.S. Kids Golf Learning Program, which is a proven method that introduces golf to young players. The program starts with simple and basic skills development which becomes more difficult as players advance through each of the three levels. This is combined with the unique Level 1, 2 and 3 booklets which provide the framework for both coaches and parents to monitor and assist with player development.

The booklets provide instruction and examples of forms and skills for our kid’s golf classes and each level has checkpoints in the five core areas: Putting, Around the Green, Full Swing, Knowledge and Scoring. As an incentive to advance through all the levels, players earn an achievement pin each time they complete one of the checkpoints. In order to pass each level, players must play nine holes from at least 1,500 yards (the distance of Level 1 Tees on a Family Course) and meet the scoring requirement.

Our Golf for Kids and Junior Classes • The program works on grouping our students into similar age and ability classes, which is more beneficial for the students as it allows them to compete with each other striving to be the best they can. Our classes are tailored to the specific golf skill we are testing.

  6. Advanced Golf Classes • These are for students who show most potential and enthusiasm for golf. They are more comprehensive kids golf classes that run for a 10-week term and includes a one hour coaching sessions twice per week and focus on more than just the golfing technique. These classes do follow the same guidelines as the US KIDS golf program but incorporates fitness, stretching and nutrition aspects. • The students in these kids golf classes are identified by our coaching staff from the normal level 1, 2 and 3 classes and invited into the Advanced Program. This will allow them to double their practice and rapidly increase their skill levels.
