MOBILE6
  • MOBILE6 estimates emission factors (g/mile) of air pollutants for the North American road vehicle fleet
  • The modelling is based on thousands of FTP and IM240 tests and correlations among the results
  • The model attempts to account for the differences between the FTP and actual fleet activity by applying corrections for differences in average speed, temperature, etc.
  • Some derivatives of the MOBILE model for other fleets:
    • MOBILE6-Mexico, MOBILE5c, MOBILE6C (Canada)
    • Application to vehicle fleets that differ from the North American fleet requires significant testing/modelling work. Not meaningful to apply MOBILE to other countries without this effort.
