2. Lufeng 22-1 oil field with water depth of 330 meters, was discovered in May 1986, engineering and construction started in May 1996, and first oil was achieved on 27 December 1997. It produced more than 10 years now, much more longer than initially planned, i.e. 3 years.Due to challenging sea condition and complicated reservoir, many advanced technologies were used to develop the Lufeng 22-1 marginal oil field, and FPSO is leased in order to reduce the CAPEX..
