    1. How Many Fries Do You Get? Myth Buster’s Project

    2. Question? Which brand of French fries will have the most fries? McDonalds Artic Circle Jack In The Box

    3. Hypothesis I hypothesize McDonald’s will have more fries because their fries are smaller.

    4. Materials List 4- small (11.5 cm x 10 cm) packages of McDonalds fries. 4- small (10.5 cm x 10 cm) packages of Artic Circle fries. 4- small (12 cm x 10 cm) packages of Jack In The Box fries. 1- sharpie marker 4- (8.5 “ x 11 “) pieces of paper 1 - metric ruler

    5. Procedure Layout 4 sheets of paper on a flat surface Take a sharpie and label each sheet of paper with the brand name. Label one sheet data, list each brand name & trial 1,2,3,4. Place the 4 sample’s of each brand on its sheet of paper. Count the number of fries in each package. Write down the # of fries in each package. Add trials 1-4 and then divide the total for each brand by 4. Record the average on the data sheet. Measure the length and width of each fry package and record it on your data sheet. Review the average of each brand to decided which brand had the most fries.

    6. Data Table

    7. The average amount of fries in each package!

    10. Jack In The Box

    11. My Myth was CONFIRMED! My myth that McDonalds had the most fries was confirmed. I hypothesized that McDonalds will have the most fries because their fries are smaller. My hypothesis was supported by the data. The data showed that McDonalds had the most fries per package. When doing this experiment I noticed that the Jack In The Box brand had larger packaging than the other brands. Which is weird because it had less fries per package. One thing that was about each brand is that they all had different size packaging when you order a small fry. Although I did not think about this as an important feature for measuring the products, I still think this because I noticed that the size of the packaging did not matter. It was the size of the fries that determined the number per package. I did a good job of making this a fair experiment by making sure that I counted my fries accurately. It was funny when I got the fries and they were cold and I could not eat them, because it took so long driving around and purchasing them. I thought it was interesting when the fries were stuck together. It was confusing when I had to make a graph. I appreciate my mom helping me with building the graphs and teaching me how to use power point. I learned how to use power point and excel by doing this experiment. I recommend McDonalds brand of fries because they have the most fries in their packages. I was not surprised that McDonalds had the most fries. Now that I have tested the # of fries per package. I would like to find out which brand of fries students in my science class prefer to eat. A new question I now have about the same product is which brand has the largest mass.
