  1. EMERGENCY PEDIATRIC SYMPTOMS YOU SHOULDN’T IGNORE High Fever (Especially in Infants) 01 A fever over 100.4°F (38°C) in a baby under 3 months, or persistent high fever in older children, can signal a serious infection. Immediate medical attention is crucial. Difficulty Breathing 02 Wheezing, rapid breathing, or visible chest retractions could indicate asthma, RSV, or another respiratory emergency. Seek care right away. Seizures or Unresponsiveness 03 Any seizure or sudden loss of consciousness requires urgent evaluation. It could be due to fever, neurological issues, or other critical conditions. Severe Dehydration 04 Signs like dry mouth, no tears when crying, sunken eyes, or very little urine may indicate dangerous dehydration. This can escalate quickly in children. Persistent Vomiting or Diarrhea 05 Ongoing vomiting or diarrhea, especially with signs of lethargy or dehydration, could lead to serious complications and must be treated promptly. https://siddiquipediatrics.com/
