Something as simple as the wrong shower seal can make the difference between a bathroom you love and one that is a source of stress. There are several seals on the market. Each of these varieties is best under certain conditions. Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) Shower Seals These seals are generally translucent and often used in glass-to-glass contact areas. The translucent nature makes these shower seals the natural choice when working on a frame less shower stall. Some of these have single-edged sweeps to allow greater stiffness, while still making a water-proof seal. Magnetic Seals These are a sub-group of PVC magnetic shower seals that deserve mention in their own right. These 90, 135, or 180 degree seals incorporate a magnetic attraction along the seal to improve water-resistance and to maintain shower door closure. These are useful in both frame less and framed shower stall arrangements.

  2. Aluminum Profile Seal The most common and traditional of door seals, they are used with metal framed shower screen seal. These are the vinyl padded "tracks" that allow smooth opening and closing of shower doors, and keep the water in the stall rather than allowing flow into the rest of the bathroom. These come in colors varying from clear to various opaque colors. Original Source: https://telegra.ph/Tips-for-Selecting-Shower-Door-Seal-09-27
