  1. Effect of Tongkat Ali in Stress Harmone A medicinal plant that is generally known as Tongkat Ali (TA) and "Malaysian ginseng," Eurycomalongifolia is a member of the ginger family. Tongkat ali roots have been used medicinally for centuries as an "anti-aging" cure, and contemporary supplements derived from them are designed to increase libido and energy levels, as well as the performance of athletes and people trying to lose weight. Previous research has demonstrated that TA, when appropriately standardized, can boost sex drive, and reduce weariness, and overall well-being. Additionally, it can stimulate the release of free testosterone. Methods We supplemented 63 people who were screened for moderate stress with either a standardized hot-water extract of Tongkat ali roots (TA) or a placebo (PL) for four weeks and then evaluated their stress hormone levels and mood state. There were 32 males and 31 women in this group of subjects. The significance level for the analysis of variance (ANOVA) was set at p 0.05, and the results were compared to assess the differences between the groups. Tongkat Ali root extract, also known as long jack, is a herbal supplement that has been indicated to help low testosterone levels, male fertility, anxiety, athletic performance, and muscular mass. [citation needed] Results: There were notable reductions in tension (11 percent), anger (12 percent), and confusion (15 percent) among those who participated in the TA program. TA supplementation resulted in a significant improvement in the stress hormone profile (salivary cortisol and testosterone), with decreased cortisol exposure (by 16 percent) and elevated testosterone status (by 37 percent). People who took the extract showed considerable improvements in their levels of wrath, tension, and perplexity, according to the researchers who conducted the study. Tongkat Ali Root Extract is easily available in market nowadays. The

They concluded that Tongkat Ali could be a good treatment for contemporary day chronic stress, lack of sleep due to exercise training, and exercise training itself. In yet another study, subjects who were otherwise healthy but were under moderate amounts of stress were given both E. longifolia and a multivitamin to see what kind of combination effects they might have. The participants' perceptions of their vitality and emotional well-being improved as a result of the activity. There was also a drop in glucose concentrations, which may have been another factor contributing to the individuals' improved state of health. Decoctions made from Tongkat Ali roots have been used for centuries in Malaysia and Southeast Asia as an aphrodisiac for the treatment of impotence and loss of sexual desire. Additionally, Tongkat Ali roots have been used to treat a variety of conditions, such as postpartum depression, malaria, high blood pressure, and fatigue. Conclusion This "ancient" remedy may be an effective approach to shielding the body from the detrimental effects of "modern" chronic stress, which may include general day- to-day stress, as well as the stress of dieting, sleep deprivation, and exercise training. These results indicate that daily supplementation with Tongkat Ali root extract improves the stress hormone profile and certain mood state parameters. This finding suggests that this "ancient" remedy improves stress hormone profile and certain mood state parameters.
