Microsoft Campus Agreement. New Agreement Model. Moving to a model where Higher Ed executes the agreement and member institutions can enroll in it. The agreement will be executed in June which means that we need to start the enrollment process no later than the first of May.

New Agreement Model • Moving to a model where Higher Ed executes the agreement and member institutions can enroll in it. • The agreement will be executed in June which means that we need to start the enrollment process no later than the first of May. • As incentive to enroll early, MS is offering an additional 8.3% (1/12) discount.
Campus Agreement Desktop • Basic Campus Agreement includes: • Windows upgrade: Remember, can only be used on a machine that came with an approved OEM license. • Office Pro (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, InfoPath, Communicator) • Publisher • Core Client Access Licenses (CAL): Windows server, Exchange server, SharePoint, Systems Management Server
Notable License Changes • Products no longer part of the Desktop bundle:- Frontpage- VisualStudio.net • Products to be added- OneNote • Departments can enroll individually in orderto purchase software not part of the Desktop
Pricing • We don't have new pricing on this yet. • Current price under old license is $53.00 • Select pricing of components is $185. • Remember: select you own, campus agreement you lease.
Considerations: • Office 12/2007 release in November 06 • Vista release in January 07
Vista • Version available to the U is Enterprise • Will have two flavors, Vista and IGER for legacy systems • Includes Virtual PC which allows you to run 1 instance at a time of another OS
Other Licensing Programs • Student Select • Allows faculty, staff, students to purchase product for home use • Academic Alliance • Allows classes in engineering, computer science, and information science that use MS products in the course of teaching the class to use the products for free. • Must register. • License expires at the end of the semester and copies of software must be destroyed.
