Brahmacharini The Second form of Goddess Durga is Brahmacharini.“Brahma”means "the one self- existent Spirit, the Absolute Reality, Universal Self, Personal God, the sacred knowledge “Charini”means the feminine version of one who is Acharya The image of Brahmacharini is depicted as walking bare feet. She has two hands and She carries Japa Mala in Her right hand and Kamandal in Her left hand. It is stated that She did severe penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband. There is a transitional phase of happiness and sadness at each stage. In order to enrich our inner self and spiritual augmentation we worship 'Maa Brahmacharini'.She is the one who observes the state of celibacy doing penance and is considered to bestow love, loyalty, wisdom and knowledge to her devotee. Mantra of Brahmacharini ॐदेवीब्रह्मचारिण्यैनमः॥ Om Devi Brahmacharinyai Namah॥ Prarthana or Brahmacharini दधानाकिपद्माभ्यामक्षमालाकमण्डलू। देवीप्रसीदतुमययब्रह्मचारिण्यनुत्तमा॥ Dadhana Kara Padmabhyamakshamala Kamandalu। Devi Prasidatu Mayi Brahmacharinyanuttama॥
