Shadia Elamin was born in the Sudan, the ancestral land of the Nubian Queen Nefertiti.
She was raised by loving parents, in the tradition of her unique Arabic and African Muslim culture,
where religion ruled every aspect of day to day life. Growing up in this environment, Shadia felt
unfulfilled and longed for something more, something extraordinary. She was drawn to the alluring
drama of the Bollywood movies she enjoyed watching as a child, which inspired her to become an
actress and model. At a very young age Shadia took to fashioning her own clothing designs by taking
material to the local tailor to create her own unique outfits. Elegantly clothed, Shadia also
experimented with different hairstyles and make-up to actualize her own fabulous look.
When she was of age, her family sought to support her endeavors by allowing her to travel to Europe.
She went to Exeter University in England, where she focused on furthering her education. There she
studied English and Social Studies in the pursuit of Journalism. Shadia next traveled to Paris, France,
where her love of fashion and her desire to act grew and flourished. Finally in America, Shadia was
able to fully give herself to her aspirations and have them come to fruition.
She perfected and honed her skills by taking and excelling in courses such as: Scene Study, Voice and
Speech, and Improvisation for acting. She complimented her acting classes with courses in fashion
such as: Cosmetology, Aesthetics, Seasonal Color, Fashion and Total Look Image Consulting. With
her striking good looks, unique in its composition, Shadia found her niche in the modeling industry
and fulfilled her desires. She modeled around the world and was also able to spring board it into an

several television shows such as’ Saturday Night
Live’, where she appeared with Tim Meadows and
HBO’s The Chris Rock Show. She also graced the big
screen in a movie by the famed Woody Allen where
her role as a runway model shown bright.
She has proven that she can character act with her
diverse roles, where she portrayed an undercover cop,

As an entrepreneur, between the years 2005-2007, Ms.
Elamin has coordinated with the Arabic al-couture
designers and organized the Al Bader Exhibition
‘Wedding Fashion Shows’ in Dubai. As organizer,
Ms. Elamin hired models and performed in this
extravaganza herself for the United Arab Emirates.

launching the first Cartier Spring Bling (Black Panther) in Emirates Tower, Dubai in May of 2004.
In 2005, she helped launch the first calendar for the United Arab Emirates airline to Rome, Italy.
Shadia has also given back to her community, by traveling back to her homeland, where she was
instrumental in helping teach the women of her culture, the importance of healthy living. She taught
classes in aerobics and yoga to diabetic and hypertensive patients, with the approval of Dr. Munier and
nurses at Municipality Hospital in Dubai.
Coming into her success in the modeling, television and film world, Shadia Elamin is now recognized
as an international icon, first to her Arabic culture, and then to other artists around theglobe.
Shadia Elamin continues to add new achievements to her career as an entrepreneur and to her ongoing
