  1. FSS Introduces Automatic Credit Card Point Use Service FSS introduces a new service that automatically applies credit card points, adding easy redemption and service to prevent unused points. In order to stop credit card reward points from expiring unused, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) plans to extend its automatic credit card point application service nationwide. The program, which was earlier limited to three card issuers, will soon be available to all providers. Cardholders can choose a point unit that will be automatically applied to card purchases. Customers can use the card companies’ mobile app or website to sign up or cancel. The service will be automatically applied to people aged 65 years and above, and they can easily cancel with the customer center (ARS). Credit card firms currently give members six months' notice through statements when points are about to expire. However, many customers fail to spend points quickly, which results in rewards being wasted. The FSS will launch a "one-stop service" to fix this, allowing customers to spend points as soon as they appear in statements. Future improvements will include quick-access banners and QR codes that guide visitors to point redemption screens for donations or cash, simplifying the procedure. By the end of this year, credit card firms intend to complete system modifications, provide automatic point usage, and send out SMS alerts before expiry. After a period of consumer guidance, the automatic service for seniors will start in February 2026. According to the FSS, "The improvements allow points to be automatically used for payments with little effort, which greatly improves comfort." FSS plans for a completely digital system in which points can be automatically applied to public services, e-commerce, and transportation along with card payments.
