  2. Sun-Sign Astrology • Magazines, websites, and newspapers use sun-sign astrology as the basis of their horoscope readings because it is the simplest form of astrology. • Because sun-sign predictions/horoscopes are based only on the location of the sun on a specific date, the predictions/horoscopes are typically general and very vague. • Sun-sign horoscopes can be so vague that one could relate to most of the predictions for signs other than his own. 16. What if your Sun-Sign doesn’t “fit” you? Although Sun-Sign astrology is popular, the only way to gain insight to a persons inner self and personality traits, is to focus on all of the planets locations on the date of their birth, not just the sun. To get very accurate results, one should know his or her birth time and place; typically located on birth certificates. The way to find out just how the locations of the planets affect you as an individual, is to obtain a birth chart. To obtain your own free birth chart Click Here By: Savannah Ranta

  17. Moon Signs • Moon signs can explain why two people born with the same sun sign can be so different. • While the sun represents core self through which you find expression in the world, the moon is the inner self that only close companions get to see. It is the private you that only reveals itself behind closed doors. It is also the unguarded you, and what shows when in crisis. In your daily life, the moon is what you fall back on to restore your sense of emotional security. • One of the most important relationships in astrology is that of the sun and moon. If someone has an ongoing tug-of-war between the will to act and their emotions, it often shows up there. When you understand the importance of the Moon, you’re no longer “in the dark.” This is valuable information for understanding family members, friends and romantic partners. By: Savannah Ranta

  18. Ascendant Signs • The ascendant (or rising sun) sign is the zodiac sign that was ascending on the eastern horizon at the specific time and location of ones birth. • The ascendant sign acts as the way a person learned to present his or her self in public or in impersonal situations. In some instances, it can act like a shield or a mask to a persons true self; like a defense mechanism to unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations. • The ascendant also has a strong weight on a person's physical appearance and overall health.
