We need to re-think the way we function. We need to adapt to more sustainable ways of living. If we want to survive on this planet, “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” is the only way. Mobius Foundation was conceptualized to spread awareness about sustainability for the betterment of our future generations. The Möbius strip is named after August Ferdinand Mobius, a famous mathematician. The universal recycling symbol (♲) design has its three arrows forming a Möbius loop. According to its designer Gary Anderson, “the ?gure was designed as a Mobius strip to symbolise continuity within a ?nite entity.” Mobius Foundation, as the name implies, is committed to sustainability, strengthening systems with empowering technologies and encouraging healthy behaviour. Our principle focus is on education, environment, and population stabilisation that contribute to sustenance. Mobius has a vision to collaborate with a diverse range of public & civil partners to advance the cause & practices of sustainable consciousness amongst Indian citizens. Why is sustenance a Mobius Foundation core concept? The world is on the path of destabilisation due to human intervention. There have been tremendous amounts of advancements leading to a better standard of living. However, the path to urbanization is not environmentally conscious. In the race of improving our lifestyle, we missed the focus on building a sustainable living for ourselves and the coming generations. Mobius works to inculcate Sustainable Living as part of our daily lifestyle. Through sustainable living, we attempt to reduce an individual’s or society’s use of the earth’s natural resources. Practitioners of sustainable living often alter their methods of transportation, energy consumption, and diet to reduce their carbon footprint. “SUSTAINABILITY” today is the need of the hour, not merely a social concept, and every individual should work towards building a sustainable living. Our planet is at a breaking point, but it’s not too late to save it. Mobius Foundation has taken numerous initiatives since its establishment to promote the cause of sustainability as a core concept of sustenance. How is the Mobius Foundation working towards fulfilling its goals of sustainability? The Mobius Foundation has constructed its projects around ?ve chief ideologies that contribute to its goal of promoting sustainability. POPULATION STABILIZATION Mobius believes that population stabilization is a crucial step needed to address global issues like poverty, extinction of species and carbon footprint. Through health, education and ?nancial incentive programs, the foundation aims to achieve a sustainable future. Our Project “Aakar” is working on the same ideology. Phase-I of Project “Aakar” was completed in December 2018, covering 200 villages of the two highly populated districts of Uttar Pradesh, Baharaich and Barabanki. Phase-I focused on building awareness and in?uencing attitudes related to Family Planning and Contraceptives. With Phase 1, the Mobius Foundation intended to support the e?orts by Govt. of India towards FP2020 goals, population stabilisation and extended its support to the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign. Subsequently, we launched Phase-II of Project “Aakar” that is now focusing on the health counselling of married couples and school students falling in the marriageable group of 17 – 20 years. We have also come up with intriguing concepts like “Zimmedar Hum” & “Dampatti No 1” that are providing eligible couples with information plus guidance about family planning methods using communication techniques that appeal to the rural populace. EDUCATION Mobius aims to educate people and instill a sense of responsibility for the environment. The foundation believes that making people aware of the consequences of their actions, will help them realise the gravity of such consequences. Projects “Gyan Anant Vidyalaya” and “World Environment School” are being built to shape the future generations by imparting the value of sustainability through constructive and practical education. Gyan Anant Vidyalaya: Situated in Village “Atrauli” District Hapur, the school focuses on rural education centered around agriculture and the addressal of environmental issues. Besides following CBSE curriculum, at GAV, we cover various issues such as climate change, renewable energy, recycling and sustainability. The school is equipped with ample sports facilities and other co-curricular activities to encourage physical activity. The student-teacher ratio is set at 1:20 to provide better attention to each student. Started in 2020, the school aims at helping students by developing agricultural skills and facilitating placements for higher studies. World Environment School, Coorg: Mobius is creating the world’s leading natural learning laboratory where learning never ends.

2. RENEWABLE ENERGY Mobius believes that population stabilization is a crucial step needed to address global issues like poverty, extinction of species and carbon footprint. Through health, education and ?nancial incentive programs, the foundation aims to achieve a sustainable future. We are the ?rst NGO in India to install Hydro Panels in rural areas at SIRUC (Sundesh Integrated Rural Upliftment Centre) in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh. This pilot project is a part of many ecological projects undertaken by Mobius towards environmental sustainability. These hydro panels provide potable water using air and sun, renewable sources of energy. Furthermore, to mitigate the problem of erratic water supply in rural areas, we have adopted SkyWater’s patented technology to make the most of Atmospheric Water Generators. SkyWater’s system uses cutting edge technology to convert atmospheric moisture content into clean drinking water. ECOLOGICAL CONSERVATION Mobius understands that humans are causing rampant deforestation that is a signi?cant cause for global warming, climate change and environmental degradation. In a bid to balance our ecological system, we must give back more than we take from it. Project “Sanjeevani” is an ecological conservation project undertaken by the Mobius Foundation towards environmental sustainability. On 7th June 2018, on the occasion of World Environment Day, as many as 150 people, school students, youth, farmers, self-help group members, Kisan club members, o?cials of various departments and other NGOs took part in the Phase-I of this project. With their help, over 5000 saplings were planted around the villages of Sonipat and Panipat districts of Haryana. The objective was to create awareness about the environmental bene?ts of trees. The tree planting is monitored by the Mobius Foundation to assess the rate of the drive. RECYCLING The foundation holds a ?rm belief that the three Rs- Reduce, Reuse & Recycle, will help achieve an eco-friendly environment. The three steps will also ensure the conservation of natural resources, a decline in energy consumption and a decrease in pollution. Our Foundation has also participated in projects belonging to various other sectors like Mobile Health Camps , School Support Programs, Solar Street Lights Installation, Toilet Construction, Training & Awareness Program on Food Safety and Natural Farming Practices.
