  1. Utilize Your Money To Educate a Child And Help Our Nation Progress Education is a vital tool that is necessary for creating a well-developed nation. In developing countries like India with its huge population of more than 136 crores, education becomes a key factor for people in improving their standard of living and having a prosperous future. India has always struggled with literacy and it currently stands at 74.04%. The child rights charter gives a universal definition of a child as anyone below the age of 18 years and India has 40% of its population below 18 years of age. This amounts to 400 million children which is the highest population of children in the world. In the coming sections, we will unravel the status of child education in India, gain insights through statistics, and understand how you can give a donation for child education India and improve the child literacy rate in our country. Condition of Child Education and Child Labor in India Every child, irrespective of where they come from and their background, deserves access to quality education. Contrary to this belief, the state of education in India is bleak going by the following statistics: ● 1 in 11 children is engaged in child labor where they should be going to school. Official estimates point out that approximately 17 million children in India work. ● Due to poverty, education becomes a luxury for the poor and they end up making their children work to afford basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter. But little do they know that illiteracy leads to further poverty. ● About 53% of girl children in the age range of five to nine years are illiterate.

  2. More than 50% of girls do not even enroll in schools and out of those who do, they are most likely to drop out after they are twelve years old. Less than fifty percent of children in India between the age group of six to fourteen go to school. This means Over 35 million kids between the age of six to fourteen do not attend school. Only one-third of students who enroll in grade 1 make it till grade 8. In India a mere 53% of habitation have schools and only 20% of habitation have a secondary school. In almost 60% of schools, there are two or fewer teachers to teach classes from first to fifth. On average less than three teachers are available per primary school and they have to manage classes I to V daily. Dropout rates increase heavily between classes third and fifth (50% of boys and 58% of girls drop out.) Every 1 in 40 primary schools in India is conducted under a tent or an open space. When children are made to work outside the family, they put in an average of 21 hours of work every week. Out of the children who are working, 19% work as domestic help. As per studies most of the children who are made to work are compelled to do so and they do not work voluntarily. Either parents or recruiters influence parents to force children into work. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Why Every Child in India Needs Education Though India is vast and densely populated, it is still a developing country. Therefore, education is the most critical component in changing the status of India from a developing country to a developed nation. ● We can see for ourselves how literacy rate is directly proportional to prosperity by considering states and cities of India which have a higher literacy rate than others. These states and cities have better infrastructure and advanced technology in comparison with other cities and states. ● Even global organizations like UNICEF and UNESCO consider education in India is of utmost importance and they are coming up with many education-related projects in India to make it a developed and progressive country. ● Education is not just necessary for building a progressive nation but there are many other reasons why education should be a high priority in India: ○ Education is every Indian citizen’s right, irrespective of gender, caste, or social status. ○ Education promotes democracy which gives rise to a well-mannered and civilized society. ○ Education gives rise to more employment opportunities in the economically underprivileged groups and uplifts them. ○ Education also plays a role in mitigating terrorism and crime in the country. ● The role of education in a child's life has a much deeper significance: ○ Children get to socialize in a setup where they learn from each other. In many ways, education prepares a child for his or her societal duties.

  3. The educational qualification builds confidence and raises the self-esteem of children. Children get to do a variety of tasks and activities in a school and the motivation of school faculty members helps them reach their potential. A child’s overall understanding is highly dependent on academic knowledge, especially English and Math. English is deemed as the official language in India and a child who is fluent in English has a plethora of opportunities in the job space. ○ Child Education Donation India It needs effort from all of us to ensure children of our country get the education they have a right on. For this, Satyarthi is an organization that is working relentlessly to stop child labor and promote education. They work in close partnership with the government, communities, businesses, and families to create a child-friendly world. If you give a donation for child education India to Satyarthi, it will strengthen their effort in eliminating child labor (80 million children removed from child labor from 2000 till 2012), and support scholarships for children who have been rescued from forced labor and other atrocities.
