TRAVEL INFORMATION

Hotel Address: 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW

Washington, DC 20001

Washington Reagan International Airport (Preferred Airport):

Reagan National Airport (DCA) is about five miles from the Holiday Inn on The Hill. The drive takes less than 10 minutes. From the airport, take the George Washington Memorial Parkway North toward Washington. Take the 14th Street Bridge exit (ramp is to your right). Follow signs to Interstate 395 North. Once you are on I-395, look for the signs for US Senate - D Street NW. Careful! You will need to merge to the right over several lanes of traffic. The exit will take you into a tunnel. Remain in the right lane (D Street, NW) and proceed through one short tunnel merging to the right lane through a second longer tunnel. Take the D Street NW-US Capitol exit. Turn right onto D Street NW. At the second light, turn left onto New Jersey Avenue, NW. Holiday Inn on The Hill is located in the first block, on the right, at 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW.

Washington Dulles International Airport

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is just about 27 miles and takes less than 45 minutes from the Holiday Inn on The Hill. From the Dulles IAD airport, follow signs to Interstate 66 East. Cross the Roosevelt Bridge into Washington. Take Constitution Avenue East toward the US Capitol. Turn left onto Louisiana Avenue, NW.

Proceed on Louisiana Ave. for three short blocks; turn left onto New Jersey Avenue, NW. Hotel is on your right, at 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport (~40 miles)

Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 30 miles and takes less than an hour from the Holiday Inn on The Hill. Driving in takes close to an hour.

From BWI airport, follow signs for I-95 West. Take the Baltimore/Washington Parkway / MD-295 South exit towards Washington, exit #2B. Merge on MD-295 South. Take the New York Avenue (US-50 West) exit towards Washington.

Continue on New York Avenue NW. Turn left onto North Capitol Street, NW.

When you see the US Capitol Dome ahead, you're getting close! Turn right onto Louisiana Avenue and then right again quickly onto D Street, NW. Go one block, then turn right onto New Jersey Avenue, NW. Holiday Inn on The Hill is located in the first block, on the right, at 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW.

Directions from Union Station

(Metro Stop, AMTRAK, MARC Commuter Train, and VRE Commuter Train):Union Station is located just 3 blocks from the Holiday Inn on The Hill. The station houses disembarkation points for AMTRAK trains, including the Acela trains from New York and Boston. The Metro subway has a Union Station stop, and commuter trains from Virginia and Maryland stop here as well. Exit the station and walk toward the US Capitol, following the first small section of the semi-circle that is adjacent to the station. Turn right onto E Street, NW. After one block, you will cross North Capitol Street. The Capitol dome will be clearly visible to your left. Continue on E Street for one block, and then turn left onto New Jersey Avenue, NW. The Holiday Inn on The Hill is in the first block, on your left. This walk is slightly downhill and quite feasible if you are using wheeled luggage. Taxis are also available at a charge of about $5.

Other ways to travel to our hotel from the airports

Shuttles from Reagan National Airport cost $10-$15; cab fare is about $15.

It is relatively simple to take Metro from Reagan National to Union Station; however, remember there is a short walk from Union Station to the hotel. Shuttles from Dulles International Airport cost about $22 for 1 person, plus $10 for each additional person; cab fare is about $50. Shuttles from Baltimore-Washington International Airport cost about $30; cab fare is about $60. Contact Super Shuttle at 1-800-BLUE-VAN.
