  1. All About Squash Balls – Buying Guide Squash Balls are an integral part of the game and it is very important to choose the right kind of squash ball for your game. Today we would discuss the type of Squash Balls, materials used and top brands manufacturing these balls. Lets discuss these vital factors in detail in coming presentation.

  2. Materials Used in Squash Balls Squash balls are usually made of rubber, more specifically raw butyl rubber along with other natural and synthetic materials mixed with it. A squash ball is hollow inside and the air in it helps absorb energy and convert it into heat that leads to expanded rubber and the ball becomes bouncier as the game goes on. This is, in fact, an important aspect about squash ball that it needs to be warmed up nicely before it starts bouncing as much it’s supposed to.

  3. Choosing the Right Squash Ball • Different types of Squash balls: • Double Dot Squash Balls • Single Dot Balls • Red Colour Balls • Yellow Colour Balls • Blue Colour Balls In squash, balls with different colors and dots have different playing characteristics. These vary in bounce and also behave differently according to conditions. At room temperature, a professional-grade squash ball barely bounces, but once warmed, it bounces a lot – over twice as much as in its original state.

  4. Type of Squash Balls 1. Blue Single Dot: (Beginner) Ideal ball for beginners to get introduced to the sport of squash. It has the highest hanging time in the air, so, players can play more rallies and enjoy the game.

Recreational players can improve their technique using this ball as they get more hanging time. 3. Yellow Single Dot: (Club/Semi-Pro) These balls are used by intermediate players. These balls are used in a cool place and they have more hang time in the air than Double dot. 4. Yellow Double Dot: (Professional) These are the most used balls in the squash circuit. Yellow Double dot balls are liked by Professional players and are also suitable for tournaments and good club players.
