  1. Nari Shashktikaran in Gujarat: Educating Women for a Digitally Empowered Future In today’s world, education and digital literacy are no longer optional — they are essential for full participation in society. Whether it's booking an online doctor's appointment, applying for a job, or helping children with schoolwork, women need to be educated and digitally aware to stay independent and confident. Our Nari Shashktikaran programs in Gujarat focus on closing this gap by providing women with basic education and digital skills. From rural villages in Ambaji and Banaskantha to urban settlements in Ahmedabad, our mission is clear: to build a future where women are not just literate but also digitally empowered. Why Women’s Education and Digital Literacy Matter Despite progress, many women in Gujarat still face challenges: Dropping out of school early due to family or social pressure Being unable to read, write, or do basic math No access to mobile phones, internet, or digital tools Fear of technology or lack of confidence in using it Without education and digital literacy, women remain excluded from job opportunities, healthcare access, government benefits, and participation in civic life. Our programs change that. Ambaji: Bridging the Education Gap in Tribal Areas In Ambaji, many tribal women and girls do not finish school. We run:

  2. Basic literacy classes (reading, writing, numeracy) Mobile-based learning in local languages Support for adolescent girls to rejoin school Digital classes using tablets and smartphones These steps ensure that women become confident enough to handle everyday tasks and access services independently. Banaskantha: Empowering Women Through Community Learning In Banaskantha, our learning centers act as community hubs where women come to learn at their own pace. We offer: Evening learning sessions for working women Group learning with practical use cases (filling forms, reading prescriptions, signing documents) Exposure to online services like Aadhaar updates, banking apps, and YouTube learning Women-led teaching circles to keep learning informal and relatable This peer-driven model ensures sustainability and high participation. Mehsana: Focus on Girls' Education and Digital Access In Mehsana, we work closely with schools and parents to: Prevent dropouts by mentoring girl students

  3. Provide tablets and learning materials to underprivileged girls Introduce coding, typing, and internet basics to senior girls Create WhatsApp learning groups for girls to share updates and learn from home By building confidence in digital tools early, we prepare young women for today’s opportunities. Abu Road: Digital Access in Remote Tribal Villages In remote Abu Road, our teams set up temporary digital literacy kiosks. We train women and girls in: Operating smartphones Making video calls and accessing government portals Using apps like WhatsApp, DigiLocker, Aarogya Setu, and UPI Creating email IDs and using Google for learning This opens the door to countless services they previously found inaccessible. Ahmedabad: Urban Women Gaining Digital Independence In low-income neighborhoods of Ahmedabad, we offer digital classes for women who run home businesses or work part-time. These include: Using mobile wallets and UPI for safe transactions Online customer management and catalog creation

  4. Accessing online classes for kids Navigating YouTube and social media for learning and business growth Digital tools give urban women more control over their businesses, learning, and family life. Impact of Our Education and Digital Literacy Programs Here’s what we’re seeing across Gujarat: Women teaching their children and helping with schoolwork Increased use of digital payments and online services Women applying for jobs, schemes, and IDs independently Girls returning to school and completing their education Safer, more confident use of mobile phones and apps Education creates confidence. Digital literacy opens doors. Our Learning Model: Local, Simple, and Women-Led We make learning easy by: Using local languages and simple teaching tools Creating flexible timings so homemakers and working women can join Building peer-learning groups led by trained women from the same community

  5. Offering continued support through mobile and field coordinators This approach ensures every woman feels safe, supported, and successful. How You Can Support Women’s Education and Digital Access Donate smartphones or learning kits Sponsor a learning center or digital literacy kiosk Volunteer as a mentor or tutor Support printing of learning materials in Gujarati/Hindi Share our mission in your networks to expand reach Conclusion Whether she’s learning to read, send a message, or search the internet, every woman deserves the power of education. Through our Nari Shashktikaran initiatives in Gujarat, we are making sure no woman is left behind in this digital era. Because when a woman learns — a family, a village, and a nation grows.
