  3. Definition • Appearance of something, particularly in relation to its beauty. • Can be used as noun. • Branch of philosophy regarding nature of art.

  4. Application of concept of aesthetic to apparel • Things to focus • The product(dress). • Interaction of product with other products(accessories). • Others wearing the same products. • Look created for a specific time. • Place where product is being worn.

  5. The product • Things that matter: • Color • Event • Design • Cultural and social norms.

CULTURAL AND SOCIAL NORMS • The shalwar kameez is the national dress of Pakistan and is worn by men and women in all five provinces. • Pakistan’s culture is very diverse. • The society and culture of Pakistan comprises numerous ethnic of groups: Punjabi, Sindhi, Pathan, Balochi, Barohi, Seraiki and Kashmiri culture. • Distinct dresses.

Traditional outfits of provinces of Pakistan • Dresses and language vary from province to province. • The dresses are a mixture of art and aesthetics of people of the provinces. • The broad range of colors, hand woven embroideries, glass work and styles make the traditional dresses an apparel for the world • Handmade dresses are specially famous around the globe and a lot of tourists also take interest in these.
