Individuals required to obtain a baton permit must be taught in the format described in Section 7585.9(a) of the Business and Professions Code. The Baton Training Manual provides that format. We offer the BSIS Baton Permit training and teach both collapsible/telescoping and side-handled baton usage in all of our Baton courses. For this reason, Security Training Center, LLC. and Palladium Education, Inc. have created a Security Incident Recollection Card to help remind professional security officers and law enforcement to record details of an event that might help identify and capture suspects. The card is created such that it can be printed, double-sided, cut and carried in a shirt or coat pocket, or kept in a small notepad. Immediately after an event, record the details by completing the card and marking the diagrams. When deadly force may not be necessary, it simply makes sense to have an option between physical strength, which is finite, and a bullet, which is fatal. After all, electroshock weapons emit electrical charges that only temporarily incapacitate individuals but they incapacitate them. If a suspect is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or in emotional distress, the electroshock weapon will subdue him or her successfully without causing permanent injury. Security Training Centre, LLC 290 N Benson Avenue, Unit 10, Upland, CA 91786 Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
